This is the Northern Lights display from Sunday November 7, 2004. The first two pictures were taken in Minnesota the 2nd two in Colorado. Evan and I went out to view the aurora's around 630pm and watched them for an hour and a half.... They fluctuated in color and intensity during that time. If we did not need to get up early for school and work we could have stayed out watching them for quite a while. The last two pictures of aurora's posted here are from Colorado, it seems that they had a spectacular display. To make sure I give credit where credit is due, I am going to thank Darrell Spangler from Drake, Colorado for taking such amazing photos and for sharing them with all of the people who visit spaceweather.com on a regular basis. Way to go Darrell!
