Did I mention.......

One of my priceless cats (yes, priceless...they are Cornish Rexes muito $$$$$) is lucky to be alive, or at least lucky that I needed to dry some clothes this afternoon......I open up the dryer to put my sheets in to dry I hear the little mew.....Pippin....My tuxedo boy decided that the warm clothes in the dryer made a fine nap area......Lucky for him I was doing laundry.....he would have been in there a couple hours at least.....or until we left and we needed to find him to say goodbye....... silly cats....that's why I try not to let them in to the laundry room when I am working on laundry.....tumbling around in a dryer is a fast way to get a LARGE vet bill.......I don't need that!

Murphy's Law

Of course it happens to me!
I get most of my work done at home for the trip.....you know packing and stuff. I find that I have time to bake some cookies for the trip...mostly for Andre...hehe......and I get one batch out of the oven and another in when the doorbell rings......A guy from the gas company is here and they are working in my neighbors yard, they need to turn off my gas......the dilemma is that I have a GAS OVEN...now I have a bunch of raw cookie dough and no oven to bake the cookies in. Maybe it was not meant to be. At least I did not make a second batch like I had planned. I am just going to think positive and have faith that they will work fast to get the gas back on! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

My sweet Evan when he was little...I ran across this picture today and wanted to share it.....my golden child!

Some things just have their own time

Julio was all set to come back to the USA........Unfortunately the powers that be had other plans. Instead of arriving before we leave for Florida, Julio will be traveling back after we return. It seems as though he is not allowed to travel to the States until 30 days before he starts college. Being that school does not start until January 10th......Julio will wait until December 10th before he can come back to his US home. Disappointed? You Bet.....But the bigger picture is that he is returning and when you step back and look at the bigger picture, it's pretty great! We will wait a little longer for you, your worth it! Beijos........Rebel

It's getting busy!

I have so much to think about lately. I am not complaining about it either. Most of it is exciting, I am looking forward to so much!

Felipe comes down on Thursday and I will drive him to his appointment at the University. I am going for no other reason than if we get lost, it can be my fault....lol. We won't! I promise!

Grandma and Grandpa are leaving tomorrow for Florida......They were going to go to California and Leave the Motorhome there but time constraints have changed that plan. Now they are driving to Florida. They will be there when we arrive in Florida for Thanksgiving. They are going straight to River Ranch where they stay in their Motorhome until the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It is a good thing for Evan, Julio, Andre and I because now we will have the 2 bedroom condo at Bahia Beach resort. That will be nice for us!

Julio will be back in a little over a week. I am looking forward to seeing him again. This time, the only vacation he gets is when we are in Florida. When we get back, we have a lot to accomplish. Julio is ready to handle it and will get all the things he needs to accomplish done! I have tremendous faith in Julio and know that he can do what needs to be done and be successful at it! Can't wait to see you BJ!

As for my work.....ugh... I have much to accomplish before I leave for Florida. I have a budget to complete, Tenant files to organize, drywall replacement scheduled and done as well as having carpet restretched. It will be nice to get away from then office for that week! They are making me nuts! I had a Russian woman come into my office today to complain that her rent and her mother-in-laws rent was too high... She does not speak much English and my Russian is limited to greetings and swear words....I think.... No one has yelled at me in Russian yet for saying the wrong thing. Anyway, She wanted me to come down a few dollars on the rent....I guess she doesn't understand Government subsidized, I don't set the rent, the government does. I hardly think it would go over well if I said, "oh no problem, I am sure that the US Government will understand if I lower your rent because you asked so nicely." This woman really needs a bath too.....You would think she was out sloppin the pigs all morning before she came in to talk to me.....Yikes, smelly! But I understand that they do not give up the way of life easily that they learned in Russia, But the building is paying for the water, so please feel free to use it!

Ok, Enough from me. I have work to do, a house to clean before Felipe gets here and of course before Julio gets back too!

This is the Northern Lights display from Sunday November 7, 2004. The first two pictures were taken in Minnesota the 2nd two in Colorado. Evan and I went out to view the aurora's around 630pm and watched them for an hour and a half.... They fluctuated in color and intensity during that time. If we did not need to get up early for school and work we could have stayed out watching them for quite a while. The last two pictures of aurora's posted here are from Colorado, it seems that they had a spectacular display. To make sure I give credit where credit is due, I am going to thank Darrell Spangler from Drake, Colorado for taking such amazing photos and for sharing them with all of the people who visit spaceweather.com on a regular basis. Way to go Darrell!

WAY TO GO JULIO! WE CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE YOU BACK IN YOUR U.S. HOME! COOKIES WILL BE WAITING.....WE'LL EVEN TAKE SOME TO FLORIDA! AMOR E BEIJOS.........SWEET REBEL!

Congratulations to our President!

Red, White and Bush!

I was going to write a post that would have been insulting to the Kerry supporter from the Dominican Republic who thought it was appropriate to leave an insulting message on my blog. But instead I am going to say...This is America, we believe in freedom and the 1st Amendment. You are entitled to your opinion, I published my opinion without concerns about offending. The majority of people who visit my blog are family and friends. Many of my extended family are from Brasil and they hoped Kerry would win. This extended family of mine are young men ages 20 to 23 and their parents. They are a great light in my life! They are kind, generous, mature and take the time to listen and care about other points of view. We should all be so blessed to have such intelligent caring people in our lives! Obrigado meu Brasilians...beijos
