Up and coming Lawyer Crashes and burns in an e-mail snit

Talk about starting your career with a BANG!

The following e-mails are posted all over the web.

My disbelief that this recent Boston-area law school grad would respond in such a fashion to any future employer has me baffeled.

Dianna Abdala: Good Luck with your emploment endeavors now that the world has become privy to your lack of professionalism and lack of grace.

Dear Attorney Korman,

At this time, I am writing to inform you that I will not be accepting your offer. After careful consideration, I have come to the conclusion that the pay you are offering would neither fulfill me nor support the lifestyle I am living in light of the work I would be doing for you. I have decided instead to work for myself, and reap 100% of the benefits that I sew.
Thank you for the interviews.

Dianna L. Abdala, Esq.

Dianna -

Given that you had two interviews, were offered and accepted the job (indeed, you had a definite start date), I am surprised that you chose an e-mail and a 9:30 PM voicemail message to convey this information to me. It smacks of immaturity and is quite unprofessional. Indeed, I did rely upon your acceptance by ordering stationary and business cards with your name, reformatting a computer and setting up both internal and external e-mails for you here at the office. While I do not quarrel with your reasoning, I am extremely disappointed in the way this played out.
I sincerely wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.-

Will Korman

A real lawyer would have put the contract into writing and not exercised any such reliance until he did so.

Again, thank you.

Thank you for the refresher course on contracts. This is not a bar exam question. You need to realize that this is a very small legal community, especially the criminal defense bar. Do you really want to start pissing off more experienced lawyers at this early stage of your career?

It has been busy here at home.....No time to post and little time on the computer....I thought I would lose touch with my computer when Julio arrived.....But that will be remedied soon!

Andre and I had Julio totally in the dark about Andre flying to MN for the Holidays! It was fun to surprise Julio! When we were at the airport to pick up Andre, Julio thought that we were there to get a bag that was damaged by the airlines. I kept going in to see if Andre was in baggage claim yet, then to see if his bag had arrived yet.....And when we finally had Andre and his bag, I went to the car and told Julio that the airline guy was coming with my new bag and could he please help him get it in the truck...........lol......Julio looked at me like "what are you talking about?" He did not know why I was asking him to help someone put an empty bag into my car.......lol! Julio got out, asked me where the guy was, I told him he was on the other side of this pillar and to go get the bag please.........When he saw Andre..He shoved him and told him to "get out of here!" Julio told me in the car to "talk to the hand"...... It was fun and Julio is happy to have his brother here. But the fun will end soon and work and school will be here before he can say Happy New Year!

I will post some pictures soon. I am getting the hang of kicking these guys off my computer so I can log a little time! They need to go to computer addiction help groups I think.

Sophie was so happy to have her Julio back! She gave him a BIG hug and would hardly share Julio with anyone the rest of the evening! Lots of love there! Julio was just as thrilled to see Sophie and loved the attention she gave him!

They are so happy to see each other

Concentrating on her next move in checkers with Julio. Of course she won.....

Florida was great! I wish Julio had been with us on the trip but....The Embassy had other ideas. See you in a few days Sweet Rebel!

I loved spending time with Andre even though we did not do anything terribly exciting. It was just nice to be with him. I think the most exciting thing for me was Busch Gardens and the fear that I hid so well from Andre about going on the roller coasters. I am not sure if I went on them for Andre or Felipe.....Felipe gave me some BS about not coming home ever again if I did not go on Kumba.......Yeah right! I didn't believe that merda for a minute but I think I wanted to show Phils that I would go because I want him here at home always... or at least when he has a break from his exhausting schedule! I went on the rides for Andre because I did not want him to go alone....He fed the Giraffe with me...(pretty tame compared to Kumba) even though I don't think he wanted too....So I sucked it up and went on the rides with him, basically cause I adore him and and it is about having fun.......For at least one of us! lol Fun for me is not turning green!

A little more information about Evan....Evan would not go on the rides with us! (actually, I am grateful for that) Andre was begging and pleading with Evan to go (in a really insincere way, but oh so cute way), Evan stood strong and said, "what? do I look like and idiot"? So when it came time to go on the ride that Evan wanted to go on ~The Congo River Rapids~ Andre would not go.....You see, Andre is too Sweet and all the water splashed on him would have melted him....lol That's my story and I am stickin to it.... So it is left to me once again to go on a ride at Busch Gardens...I guess I am not sweet enough to melt! I am smart enough though to buy a poncho to keep me dry...So off we went into the screaming rapids....Staying quite dry despite that merdas putting quarters into squirt guns to intentionally soak us!

We had fun in Florida! We got to spend time with Grandpa Grout and the rest of our family. We spent Saturday at River Ranch where Grandma and Grandpa have their Motorhome. Went on a pontoon ride looking for alligators and saw two. Went to the Rodeo Saturday night which was fun! Went shopping at the outlet mall on "Black Friday" and got into a car accident when a little old lady hit my rental. Had a fun Thanksgiving making breakfast in the morning in the condo and going to Thanksgiving dinner at the restaurant later that day. We have much to be thankful for all year long, I have a new family of wonderful men that I adore and get to see fairly often... That is a great gift to me as well as a blessing! I would go to the moon and back for Evan, Julio, Andre, Felipe, Gui and Gustavo! You are my family, I would be lost without all of you! Beijos

Blog Problems

We're back and just when I had time to post my pictures......I run into a road block.
I am working on the technical difficulty...... Hopefully I will have a solution today!

We had a great time with Andre......Although I don't know that he got as much sleep as he would have liked! It was fun to spend the long weekend with him even though on Sunday at Busch Gardens I did feel a little green and woozy....... lol. I just couldn't let Andre ride on Montu and Kumba alone (someone save me from myself....PLEASE).........Montu is tolerable, Kumba I will never go on again. Andre is worth it....I will recover before the next trip to Busch........Where I will definitely not go on ANY ROLLER COASTERS!

Did I mention.......

One of my priceless cats (yes, priceless...they are Cornish Rexes muito $$$$$) is lucky to be alive, or at least lucky that I needed to dry some clothes this afternoon......I open up the dryer to put my sheets in to dry I hear the little mew.....Pippin....My tuxedo boy decided that the warm clothes in the dryer made a fine nap area......Lucky for him I was doing laundry.....he would have been in there a couple hours at least.....or until we left and we needed to find him to say goodbye....... silly cats....that's why I try not to let them in to the laundry room when I am working on laundry.....tumbling around in a dryer is a fast way to get a LARGE vet bill.......I don't need that!

Murphy's Law

Of course it happens to me!
I get most of my work done at home for the trip.....you know packing and stuff. I find that I have time to bake some cookies for the trip...mostly for Andre...hehe......and I get one batch out of the oven and another in when the doorbell rings......A guy from the gas company is here and they are working in my neighbors yard, they need to turn off my gas......the dilemma is that I have a GAS OVEN...now I have a bunch of raw cookie dough and no oven to bake the cookies in. Maybe it was not meant to be. At least I did not make a second batch like I had planned. I am just going to think positive and have faith that they will work fast to get the gas back on! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

My sweet Evan when he was little...I ran across this picture today and wanted to share it.....my golden child!

Music....Just have to share

I wish I could post music..... Every time you visit my blog a new track plays! Cool huh!?! Too bad..... Don't no nothin about doin that..... What, did you actually think I could make that happen!?!... If I could do that then I would be able to message people my favorite tracks while we message back and forth! Could get "Real Time" feedback on the music...... you know "wow I love it or Hey Beck, that sux! lol

I was messaging with Andre today asking him if he knew of these different groups....Like Dishwalla.......Andre said, NO THANKS! I guess he gets enough Dishwalla at work...lol...Clever Andre!

There is some fabulous music out there! I sent some music off to Gustavo for his Birthday! I hope he enjoys it! There are some tracks on one of the CD's that I love..... #1, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 17, 18, I made Gus 2 copies of this CD so if he wants, he can give one away. Notice I did not give the track name or artist......It's gotta be a surprise!!

There are some tracks and Artist that I did not get on the CD's for Gus so I can suggest them here.....

There have been technical difficulties on BamBams Blogger, or should I say with the computer and photo shop that is used to post his photos.....so I asked Andre if I could post them and he said......OK! Fine! Do you really think I can stop you! LOL Just Joking.....It is not in Andre to talk to anyone like that.......but ya know I gotta give him a little merda......Beijos
